Project 1
Endless Redwork Borders
Project Instructions and Software Lesson by Tamara Evans

Tablier is the French word for apron. Aprons are very popular to make and wear, but there is a downside. If the cute retro style apron gets dirty, it must be washed and ironed! This design contains a zip on/off terry towel to help keep the rest of the apron clean. Simply zip the towel off to wash it when grimy hands have soiled its appearance. And, because it is embroidered with the polyester thread, go ahead and use the chlorine bleach! It won’t hurt it. Cute AND practical – what’s better than that!

Shadow Work Elegance
Project Instructions and Software Lesson by Tamara Evans

Shadow work embroidery is an ancient textile art. This type of embroidery by hand is not a task for the novice hand-stitcher. Creating the subtle effect of threads shadowing through sheer fabric is a coveted talent requiring extensive practice and precision – until now! Inspiration’s Shadow Work embraces the artistic tradition, without the skill required to hand sew these designs.

A simple tailored shirt enhanced with a few lace borders makes a truly fashionable, but wearable garment. The beauty of embroidered lace belies the simplicity of its creation with Inspiration’s Series: Timeless Lace Borders.
